5 out of 5 stars A little something for everyone   January 9, 2009
"Chuck" is a fabulous show because it has something to offer everyone. Hilarious comedy, fantastic action sequences, & an intriguing forbidden romance. What's not to love? Season 1 rocks. I can't wait to buy Season 2.

5 out of 5 stars Great Show But PQ is Grainy   January 6, 2009

I love this show. It is so fun to watch. There is romance. There is action. There is comedy. The best thing about his show is that there are new hot chicks every other episodes or so. And Adam Bladwin is so funny.

The package comes with 3 discs, a little insert that lists the episodes on the discs, and has some photos. The discs also come with subtitles with white thin letters rather than the usual black bold right-in-your-face letters. The white subtitles are better IMO.

However, the picture is very grainy. The PQ is not consistent through out the same episode. One scene can be sharp even it is at night. In another scene, it can be very grainy even the scene is in board daylight. It is like they use the wrong ISO on the camera to shoot the scenes. It is like shooting a bunch of pictures with a point-and-shoot camera using 800 ISO. And then shooting another bunch of pictures using 100 ISO. And then you mix up the pictures and show them to your friends.

Beside this, this is a must have for any couch potato. 5 stars from me.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Show!   December 26, 2008
I was looking forward to getting the first season on BD and other than a couple of minor issues, I am very happy with the set.

First of all, the show itself is fantastic! It has a funny and action filled story with a great ensemble cast that really pull off the characters and work well with each other. Each episode draws you in from the start and while they each conclude within the episode, there are continuous story lines that leave you hungry for more.

There are a couple of little annoyances with the BD however. First, there isn't a way to select individual episodes; it's all one continuous block. In order to watch a specific episode on a disc, you have to manually skip to that chapter. Want to watch episode 4 on disc 1? It starts on something like title 1, chapter 29. Why they didn't just put an episode selection on the main menu is beyond me and very irritating.

Also, as others have mentioned, it is a little grainy. I'm told that is how the show was originally aired. Regardless, it's sometimes not as clear as other shows I've seen on BD. Other that that, the picture quality looks good.

I went ahead and gave it a 5 stars rating since the show has become an instant favorite and the minor BD concerns aren't that big a deal.

5 out of 5 stars awesome show   December 22, 2008
I really do enjoy watching this show. It's good for all age groups. It's funny and witty, entertaining all the way through.I have yet to watch an episode i didn't enjoy. I really hope they don't cancel this one like they do all the good shows. If sara was real i would say to her "come find me".Lucky chuck lol. I hope you enjoy this show.

5 out of 5 stars Great show   December 12, 2008

Sure the grain is disappointing but it was there in the original HD broadcasts so it wasn't a suprise. I've watched both regular DVD and Blu-ray. I prefer the extra detail on the Blu-ray.

If you liked Spies Like Us, you'll love Chuck. The fast paced action, comedy and romance make this show an all-time favorite.

I'll be standing in line to get the season 2 boxed set.
