1 out of 5 stars junk!   April 11, 2005
12 out of 12 found this review helpful

I bought this set a year ago here in amazon, it's basically junk. The speakers have no bass at all, they also sound so cheap compared to my regular old 1989 panasonic TV! when I turn up the volume 3/4 of the way the speakers sound even worst. The system holder also looks ugly once you sit your XBOX on top of it, it has a slighty diffrent color tone (you can't tell in the pictures) and also it creates a mess with a bunch of wires. Another bad thing is that it doesnt support a component cable connection! but honestly I won't go that far, so to make this story short, the sound is terrible. The AV switcher is ok and works fine thought, and probably the best thing this junk has going is the included dual headphone jack inputs on front of the holder. Once I hooked it up, the sound was so cheap so I took the speakers off and tried my Sony XBASS headphones on this and it rocked! that's the only thing this does! I recommend to sell or forget about this and buy the 99.99 Anted Lansing speakers (you can find them in the PC section, but also work for game consoles) it's worth the extra fifty dollars, and gives you a very powerful 5.1 like sound.

5 out of 5 stars it is really cool   June 24, 2003

it is one of the best thing i have ever bought for xbox the only thing they could improve is make the wire connected to the speakers a little longer so you could move them where ever you wanted to so i strongly recomend this product of something you should buy and i thought it would be about $... dollars and i found out it was only ... so i bought it, it is a ... good price

1 out of 5 stars it didn't work   January 20, 2003

I would have liked this alot if it had worked when we got it. Hooked it up and have to jiggle wire to get one speaker to work. Other speaker does not work at all.

1 out of 5 stars so tight   January 9, 2003

Its a new system in which you already have everything you need and most games don't have that and its very tight

5 out of 5 stars 2D Surround system   August 6, 2002

The Xboxs great 2D surroud system is great. When i played Xbox with the surround system it was a must own sound enchencer. One of the best games to play on the Xbox with the 2D surround system was Halo and Project Gotham Racing. But they are really hard to find in stores. So if you ever get it i hope you enjoy it. I know i will.
