Relive the magic on the SNES September 3, 2006 Super Star Wars was the start of a very successful adaptation of the famous trilogy on the SNES. Each game was an action-platformer that retold the events of the movie with detail and authenticity. Graphics were sharp, controls were responsive, and the design was occasionally innovative with pseudo 3D vehicle levels. That said, the first game is definitely the weakest of the three. Lightsaber function is limited, characters cannot run and shoot at the same time, and the graphics and effects are still a bit rough around the edges. What really hurts is the lack of a password system, meaning if you die deep into the game you have to start all over. Sure you could always use the cheat codes to level skip back to where you were, but those without them faced having to start back at the Dune Sea again.
Really this is a 4-star game, but the lack of a password system keeps me from coming back to this one as much as I do the others. That Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi both have password saves (and other refined features) makes the omission here more glaring. If the lack of a password save doesn't bother you and you can confidently plow through the game in one sitting, add another star. Regardless, this is still a solid movie-to-game conversion, and should be in every Star Wars collection.
The Original, and still the best... May 11, 2006 This is one of the best star wars games made for super Nintendo. Man this is a none stop action packed thrill ride of a game. Every Star Wars fans should own it.

Time for me to review - Back to basics I'm back to reviewing after I had a run in with Section 6 - no hard feelings by the way. Thus I'm moving back to basics and reviewing (which I hope doesn't run into the same issues)

3 CHEERS FOR SHAAK Ti Shaak it is the most favoritable jedi between qui-gon jinn and Yoda, well in my opinion. Shaak ti has brought us so many things, and techincally started the rebellion. Shaak ti's death was neccesary for Ghent Starkiller to influence the rebellion. Shaak
